Cartographic aspects of the actual space use maps of Enschede, 1:12,500 and 1:2,500
Abstract
The constraints imposed at the beginning of the cartographic work are considered, taking into account aspects of perception and legibility, the four-color map printing system, and the recommendations for cartographic representation made by the NIROV working group. The area and the selected scale are discussed along with the topographic base maps. Attention is also given to aspects of cartographic representation, the cartographic production system, and cost considerations.
