Improvement of photogrammetric apparatuses

An overview of methods used in the U.S.S.R. for the improvement of photogrammetric apparatuses is presented. Sources of systematic error in different types of photogrammetric apparatuses, including stereo- and monocomparators, all-purpose photogrammetric apparatuses for compiling maps, differential rectifiers, and devices for automatic registration of coordinates are identified. The development of digital control methods in line-on-line regimes is discussed.
