Numerical simulation of the influence of an RF field on a plasma with Coulomb collisions
Abstract
A numerical particle with weight technique is used to perform a one-dimensional simulation of a plasma in a high frequency electric field, with the BGK approximation used to account for Coulomb collisions. Results are compared for the action of an HF field on a plasma in the absence of Coulomb collisions, for the case of electron-electron collisions, and for the case of electron-electron and electron-ion collisions.
