Integrated microwave transistor amplifiers
Abstract
The paper reviews briefly the technology and methods used in the design of small-signal microwave amplifiers with broadband capabilities. The discussion is limited to field effect transistors. Some examples of amplifier designs using FETs are described: a hybrid integrated circuit using bare chip devices, and a monolithic integrated circuit where all circuit functions are performed using lumped elements on a GaAs substrate with the transistor.
