Wrap-around delay line on Gulyaev-Bleustein waves with amplification
Abstract
The possibility of a wrap-around delay line (w.a.d.l.) based on Gulyaev-Blustein surface acoustic waves (GBW's) has been demonstrated. An experimental w.a.d.l was constructed using wedge-shaped transducers produced from photosensitive CdS monocrystals. Four transits of GBW's on closed paths were observed in the range of 20-70 MHz with a total delay time of 190 microsec. The resolution of the output signals was accomplished by means of selective amplification.
