Excess noise in the radiation from C.W. D.H. GaAlAs-diode lasers
Abstract
The dependence of excess noise in the radiation from CW double-heterostructure GaAlAs-diode lasers as a function of dc-pump current has been investigated at microwave frequencies (1 and 4 GHz) in the temperature range from -30 C to +20 C. Measurements are compared with the results of excess-noise computations obtained from a simple analytical laser model.
