Diffraction of a plane Hpolarized electromagnetic wave on gratings with circular cylinders containing longitudinal slits
Abstract
The diffraction of an Hpolarized electromagnetic wave on gratings with circular cylinders containing longitudinal slits is viewed as the superposition of plane waves. The diffraction problem is reduced to an infinite system of Fredholm linear algebraic equations of the second kind. An approximate solution is obtained for the case of a thin grating and narrow slits and the problem of the natural oscillations of the grating is considered.
