Methods and results of the experimental determination of the vibrational temperature of CO2 in nonequilibrium flows, using vibration-rotation band models
Abstract
The vibrational temperature of CO2 in a laser-active gas mixture composed of CO2, H2, N2, Ar, and CO is measured and the population of the individual vibration levels is determined with a time resolution of 1 to 10 microsec. The measurements were carried out at the 4.3-micron vibration-rotation band.
