Nonstationary waves in a liquid with gas bubbles
Abstract
Unsteady wave processes in bubbletype gasliquid mixtures are analyzed. The RayleighLamb equation is extended to the case of an ensemble of pulsating gas bubbles. It is shown how the input equations of Nigmatulin's (1971) model (the equations of mass, phase, and bubble conservation in the absence of mass transfer and coagulation, and the equations of motion of the mixture and of the heat flux to the phases) can be written in a form convenient for numerical integration. The characteristics of the evolution unsteady shock waves are examined
