Variable Light Curve of the Eclipsing Binary IU Aurigae
Abstract
Results of observations of IU Aur are presented. The increases in light-curve amplitude and the periodic term at times of minima, found in an earlier paper, are confirmed. It is shown that in the eclipsing systems with varying inclination (due to orbital precession caused by a third body), it is possible to determine differences between equatorial and polar limb darkening. Some other effects of a third body in the system are discussed.
