Synthesis of the hybrid matrix of the general passive multiport
Abstract
The basic characteristics of the considered hybrid matrices have been discussed by Belevitch (1968, 1974) and Duffin et al. (1964). However, no direct synthesis procedure in the frequency domain has been developed. A description is, therefore, given of a method for the synthesis of the hybrid matrix of a general multiport which contains resistances, inductances, capacitances, and ideal transformer elements. The method is based on the state-space representation of an electric network. The method makes use of an approach employed by Youla and Tissi (1966) and by Anderson (1967).
