Radio emission from the Wolf-Rayet binary gamma 2 Velorum.
Abstract
The detection of radio emission from the Wolf-Rayet binary gamma-2 Velorum at 5.00, 6.27, and 8.87 GHz is reported. The data are combined with infrared measurements, and the results are interpreted as free-free emission from a circumstellar gas cloud extending to a radius of at least 10 to the 15th power cm, much larger than the orbital radius of the binary.
