Quasiasymptotic solutions of the problem of radiative transfer in a finitethickness layer. II  Nonconservative scattering
Abstract
An approximate analytical (quasiasymptotic) solution is obtained to the problem of monochromatic isotropic nonconservative scattering of light in the presence of true absorption in a layer of finite optical thickness. Although the solution is essentially asymptotic with respect to this particular layer thickness, it is valid, with close accuracy, for any layer thickness.
