Photoelektrische Untersuchungen des Magnetfeldes und der Helligkeit der Am-Sterne 15 VUL und 68 Tau.
Abstract
UBV photometry was used to observe periodic variations of the luminosity, radial velocity and field strength of the longitudinal magnetic field component of the Am stars 15 Vul and 68 Tau. Periods of 14 days were determined for 15 Vul and 57.25 days for 68 Tau. Both 15 Vul and 68 Tau were found to be magnetic stars and 68 Tau was found to be a spectroscopic binary with an orbital period of 57.25 days. The rotation of the components of the binary system was found to be synchronous. The magnetic variability of the two Am stars was found to have a complex character conditioned by the cross-over effect.
