Assessment of the measuring properties of linear accelerometers
Abstract
The vibrational measuring properties of piezoelectric linear accelerometers are assessed. The ideal linear accelerometer is viewed as a noninertial device, producing an electric signal proportional to the projection of the vectors of absolute acceleration, and the intensity of the gravitational field onto the working axis of the accelerometer at the point of measurement. The work of an accelerometer and another measuring device having moving systems of inertial masses and elastically suspended inertial elements are examined.
