Signal transmission: Introduction into the theory of communications technology
Abstract
Signals in linear systems are considered along with Fourier transforms, scanning in the frequency and the time domain, signal correlation functions, and aspects of system theory for low-pass and band-pass filters. A statistical signal description is provided, taking into account a representation of random signals with the aid of mean values, random signals in linear time-invariant systems, distribution functions, and normal distributions. Modulation procedures for the transmission of digital and analog signals are also discussed.
