Electric field echoes and storage in piezoelectric semiconductors
Abstract
The nonlinear interaction between propagating strain waves and uniform electric fields in piezoelectric semiconductors gives rise to a variety of interesting phenomena. These can be separated into parametric backward-wave processes and acoustically-induced charge-transfer storage effects. The latter are analogous to the storage of phase holograms.
