An overdense radio frequency source
Abstract
In order to study the physics of the wave propagation and of the heating mechanism at the lower hybrid frequency a program was conceived to achieve sufficient knowledge for an experiment at high power on the ATC device. The characteristics of the RF produced plasma developed to bridge the parametric gap between the test devices and the ATC Tokamak are reported.
