Vibrations in essentially nonlinear analytical autonomous systems
Abstract
A system of differential equations describing the vibrations about the lower equilibrium position of an asymmetric heavy solid with a fixed point are analyzed. Transformations of the equations, convenient for application of conventional methods, are proposed for the case where the center of gravity of the solid is located in one of the principal planes of the ellipsoid of inertia for the fixed point.
