Acquisition behavior of coupled AGC and phase-locked loop systems
Abstract
The acquisition behavior of a phase-locked loop (PLL) coupled with a coherent AGC system is studied. The interactions of the AGC and PLL during acquisition and tracking are investigated. The limitations of such a system are pointed out, the stability problem is discussed, and the acquisition range and frequency acquisition time are calculated.
