4 GHz 8x8 switch matrix for SDMA system
Abstract
Experimental results are summarized for an engineering model of an 8 by 8 microwave switching matrix for a satellite communication system. The matrix is composed of 168 PIN diodes and is fabricated with the aid of MIC techniques. Experiments show an insertion loss of 14 plus or minus 1 dB and isolation greater than 40 dB over the frequency range from 3.7 to 4.2 GHz.
