Some energetics estimations of a relativistic spacecraft ensemble
Abstract
A simplified mathematical model of the ensemble motion of the point masses making up a spacecraft is presented. It is concluded that system of points of relativistic variable mass may be considered equivalent to an X-ray source with respect to the energy radiation of the photon jets. The radiant energy of the system can change by one order of magnitude if the number of variable mass points changes by two orders of magnitude. This procedure is useful for estimating changes in ensemble motion caused by the addition of new 'rooms', engines, etc., or by jettisoning waste, obsolete components, and so on.
