Investigation of the interaction of high-frequency oscillations in the decimeter range with plasma in the Tokamak TM-3 unit
Abstract
The phenomena arising during the interaction of high frequency radiation with plasma, primarily under the conditions omega/sub He/greater than omega greater than or equal to root omega/sub He/omega/sub Hi/and omega/sub pe/greater than omega greater than or equal to omega/sub pi/ was studied. Considerable absorption of the high frequency power was observed throughout the entire range of parameters characterizing the Tokamak plasma. This absorption was accompained by ion heating, additional displacement of the plasma column, and the appearance of hard X-ray radiation.
