Torsion bars and braces made from MR47-VP alloy
Abstract
Earlier investigations have shown that rhenium-containing refractory alloys have a number of unique physicomechanical properties and are well suited for manufacturing elastic components for long service lives without degradation of properties. Major specifications of torsion bars and braces made from rhenium-containing MR47-VP are presented. Data are reported from an investigation on the physicomechanical properties of these elastic components subjected to static and dynamic loads. Results of rests for reliability with time indicate that torque and strength as most important characteristics remain unaffected in the course of time.
