A review of the current state of the art
Abstract
The present paper reports on the state of development of the various high-speed camera types currently available and discusses which of these, if any, are candidates for further development. Seven categories of high-speed photographic equipment are considered: (1) high-speed intermittent cameras, (2) high-speed rotating prism cameras, (3) rotating mirror cameras, (4) Raster cameras, (5) short duration sparks, flashes and laser pulses, (6) Kerr cell shutters, and (7) cameras using electrooptics.
