Static electricity analysis program
Abstract
This paper presents the highlights of precipitation static noise theory together with a brief description of the mathematical models used in program PSTAT, a first-generation computer program written to predict the electrical interference generated in avionics systems by corona and streamering discharges on aircraft. Several examples of the use of PSTAT are included, comparing the computer prediction to actual flight test data.
