The geometric derivation of the Potsdam station coordinates on the basis of the observations of the ISAGEX program
Abstract
The theoretical foundations regarding the geometric connection between a satellite observational station and a rectangular coordinate system are discussed. Attention is given to the bundle of planes which is obtained on the basis of individual photographic synchronous observations. The solution with the aid of the method of the least squares provides directly without the calculation of the spatial chords between stations the coordinates of an a priori unknown station.
