An automated system for interpreting gravitational anomalies (the minimization method)
Abstract
An automated system is described for interpreting gravitational anomalies based on the minimization method and consisting of separate components. It includes solving direct problems, calculating a background function, computing the density parameters of blocks which form the region under investigation, and determining the parameters which characterize the coordinates and dimensions of the geological feature. The use of all components of the system is illustrated by several practical examples in geological interpretation.
