Interaction between forced and self-excited oscillations in multidimensional systems
Abstract
Interaction effects in a multidimensional system which is governed by two nonlinear differential equations of the second order are considered. One of the modes of the system is externally excited by a sinusoidal force, while the other mode is self-excited. An investigation is conducted of the stationary oscillations of the considered system, taking into account aspects of nonlinear friction and the stability characteristics. The use of the theoretical concepts is illustrated by means of examples.
