Decomposition method applied to solving problems in the dynamics of a viscous, incompressible fluid
Abstract
A numerical method is proposed for solving problems in the dynamics of a viscous, incompressible fluid. The method is based on decomposing the unsteady equations of motion. In contrast to the MAC (marker and cell) method and its modifications, the present method allows one to compute the flow without using boundary conditions for the vortex or the pressure at a rigid boundary surface.
