Vacuum pumps on the rotary piston principle
Abstract
The basic design and operation of rotary piston engines are reviewed, and the requirements for the use of such engines as vacuum pumps are examined. Two basic variants, internal and external rolling, are analytically investigated for their suitability to vacuum pump requirements. Some series produced models are examined.
