Pulsed magnetrons for the millimeter wavelength region in spatial harmonic regime
Abstract
The article deals with the results of studies on specifying some properties and particularities of magnetrons operating on the non-pi-type oscillations under conditions of electron flow synchronism with the first negative space harmonic. Good efficiency and magnetron operation stability is shown to be possible at a relatively small value of magnetic fields. In the shortwave band of the millimeter wavelength, the space harmonic conditions allow the results obtained by conventional magnetrons operating on the pi-type oscillations to be surpassed. Design data and operating conditions of the experimental pulsed magnetrons for wavelengths from 6.8 to 1.25 mm are presented.
