Microstrip balanced mixer

Microstrip balanced mixers for the 10 and 22-cm bands are described. The noise figure of the 22-cm band mixer does not exceed 6 dB; the isolation ratio is not less than 20 dB; the VSWR of the signal branch is less than or equal to 1.5. For the 10-cm band mixer, the noise figure does not exceed 7 dB; the isolation ratio is not less than 17 dB; the VSWR of the signal branch is less than or equal to 1.6. In order to further improve the characteristics of the mixers, the bridge is made in circular form, and one of the two output arms is lengthened by one quarter wavelength. (The noise figure of the two mixers, including those of the IF amplifiers, is about 1.5 dB.).
