An effect obtained in reconstructing an image from small parts of a hologram
Abstract
The present work analyzes the effect obtained when a hologram is simultaneously illuminated by two very narrow, strictly parallel beams of coherent, monochromatic light, such that the dimensions of the illuminated parts of the hologram are commensurate with the dimensions of the camera obscura aperture. It is shown that formation of the spatial image of the original object takes place in the focal plane of the hologram.
