An example of calculating the impedance relations in antenna systems with the aid of a tabletop computer
Abstract
The article describes a method of directly calculating the input impedance of an antenna system with the aid of HewlettPackard 9820 A computer. The XY recorder 9862 A is used in the calculation for direct results plotting. A shortwave synphase antenna system was chosen as a solution example. The first part deals with the problem of wideband matching in antennas. Impedance diagrams, synphase antennas and the HewlettPackard computer are then mentioned briefly. In the second part the mathematical solution of a concrete antenna is stated and the full program of the calculation is given.
