An example of calculating the impedance relations in antenna systems with the aid of a table-top computer
Abstract
The article describes a method of directly calculating the input impedance of an antenna system with the aid of Hewlett-Packard 9820 A computer. The X-Y recorder 9862 A is used in the calculation for direct results plotting. A short-wave synphase antenna system was chosen as a solution example. The first part deals with the problem of wide-band matching in antennas. Impedance diagrams, synphase antennas and the Hewlett-Packard computer are then mentioned briefly. In the second part the mathematical solution of a concrete antenna is stated and the full program of the calculation is given.
