Small-signal admittance of a magnetodiode
Abstract
A simple theory is presented for the harmonic small-signal characteristics of a magnetodiode. Basic mathematical relations for an intrinsic magnetodiode are examined and a general solution of the resulting equations is obtained. A description is given of a method for the approximate determination of the characteristics of doped rectifiers or diodes. An analysis is conducted of the small-signal behavior of a magnetodiode, taking into account the application of an alternating electric field in addition to stationary electric and magnetic fields. Calculations concerning the steady-state and the small-signal characteristics of a silicon magnetodiode are also presented.
