Pulsars and High Density Physics
Abstract
The discovery of pulsars, high-density physics inside neutron stars, and plasma physics outside neutron stars are discussed, with emphasis on the first topic. The phenomenon of interplanetary scintillation, the pulsed radio emission observed from CP 1919 in 1967, and various models of neutron stars are dealt with. There is more understanding of the interior of neutron stars than of their atmospheres.
