Rate equations of the semiconductor injection laser
Abstract
The rate equations of the injection laser are described, taking into account the influence of spontaneous emission on the dynamic behavior of the laser and the dependence of photon life time on the electron density. A computer program is presented and used to show the dynamic behavior with different values of the spontaneous emission parameter, different driving currents, and different starting conditions.
