Target tracking in disturbed zones with Kalman filters for electronic radar
Abstract
In computer aided target tracking track loss cannot be avoided if there is a high false alarm rate. The problem is analyzed, different strategies are compared. A new method which decreases the probability of track loss is proposed. It is demonstrated and analyzed that track loss can be reduced considerably by increasing the sampling frequency. A simple sequential decision algorithm to detect false tracks in dense clutter environments is proposed.
