A technique for smoothing justification jitter in digital systems with low justification rates
Abstract
A novel smoothing technique is described that is called the Equidistant Phase Adjustment (EPA) technique for the reduction of justification jitter in systems where two timing signals have to be synchronized to each other. The technique is designed for systems with low justification rates and is particularly useful in digital multiplexes with positive/negative justification.
