Numerical calculation of two classes of potential problems, illustrated with the flow from a channel against a wedge
Abstract
The stationary, irrotational, nonviscous, incompressible flow of a gas issuing from a channel against a wedge is considered as an approximation of the potential flow in a channel with an elbow. The resulting two-dimensional problem was treated with conformal mapping, and the inversion problem was solved numerically. It is claimed that the developed approach will be useful for two classes of potential problems.
