Application of the finite element method to fluid problems
Abstract
The finite element method of analysis is illustrated by using the variation principle and finite element equations, which are to be applied to the fluid problems, together with the result of calculations made by using the calculation program formed from those equations. Results of a study on the cavitation of a diesel engine cylinder liner are presented as an example of the application to a practical problem.
