Approximate optimum control of the angle of roll in the problem of the reentry of hypersonic vehicles
Abstract
Reentry of a hypersonic aircraft in the coast phase of flight to a specified area is considered. A convenient form of writing the conditions for selection of the optimum angle of roll is given along with characteristic properties of optimum control. A simplified program is developed, based on an approximate qualitative analysis of optimum control, for controlling the angle of roll defined by the function of the instant values of the phase coordinate and a single variable parameter.
