The effectiveness of multistage procedures with sequential precisioning
Abstract
A multistage procedure with sequential precisioning is proposed for the time-optimal processing of radar scan signals. Three types of procedures - the sequential-parallel, the simple two-stage, and the two-stage with sequential precisioning - are compared in terms of scan times. It is graphically shown that the two-stage procedure with sequential precisioning has the shortest scan time and requires fewer channels than the other procedures.
