The allowable pulsation level of power sources in radio systems with complex signals
Abstract
The paper analyzes the operation of the main blocks of a radio system tract in order to determine the possible phase shifts in each block between the received signal and a reference signal and to establish requirements on block parameters so that the phase advances do not exceed a given amount. The principal source of phase advance is pulsations of the power source at the output power amplifier of the transmitter, which in the present case is taken to be a TWT. The resulting phase advance in the radio tract of a radar station due to pulsations of feed voltages with allowance for time lags between the radiated and reflected signal is then calculated.
