Competition of arbitrarily frequency-spaced modes in a gyromonotron
Abstract
Competition of two modes with arbitrary spacing of their natural frequencies within the cyclotron resonance band is studied in the case of a monotron with mode fields rotating in the azimuth direction and equally well interacting with all electrons equidistant from the system axis. Competing modes with identical and unequal lengthwise configurations are discussed.
