Intensity of radiation by a planar logarithmic spiral, located in a stratified dielectric with a screen
Abstract
A previously reported (Iatsuk et al., 1974) method of analyzing planar spiral systems, in which the functional equations obtained from the boundary conditions are reduced to a system of differential equations of the first order, which are solved by computer using the Runge-Kutta method, is extended to the case of a spiral located in a stratified dielectric with a screen. The dielectric is assumed to be ideal. The problem is solved in a cylindrical system of coordinates approximating the infinite spiral by an anisotropically conducting plane. Theoretical and experimental results are in good agreement.
