Influence of random errors of the elements on the accuracy of an inertial navigation system /INS/
Abstract
The errors of an invariant damped inertial navigation system with an arbitrary oscillatory period are analyzed. The errors are caused by gyro drift and by accelerometer and air-speed-meter errors. It is assumed that the angular gyro-drift velocity and the errors of the other elements contain both constant components and random indeterminate components, and that the constant components are independent of time but change with certain variances between start-ups, while the random components are steady random processes characterized by spectral densities.
