A coaxial Blumlein line for shaping high-voltage nanosecond pulses
Abstract
The paper describes a simple design for a coaxial double pulse-shaping line for driving streamer chambers. The spark gap, formed by two stainless steel rings and filled with SF6 at high pressure, operates in overvoltage regime. The line shapes of a 5-nsec pulse with rise time of less than .9 nsec at an amplitude of 450 kV.
