Sloshing of a liquid in axisymmetric tanks with annular ribs
Abstract
A perturbation technique is applied to the problem of determining the hydrodynamic coefficients in arbitrarily shaped rib-reinforced tanks. An effective algorithm is proposed for axisymmetric tanks. The influence of a clearance between the ribs and the tank is examined. Numerical results are obtained for a spherical tank.
